Nespresso Vertuo Line Review

Nespresso VertuoLine Machine

Today I went to my local Sur La Table to go check out this new Vertuo Line by Nespresso. I currently own the Nespresso U and love everything about it! For over a year I’ve enjoyed waking up and making coffee form my Nepresso. I love the fact that I get an awesome espresso shot from an aluminum capsule. I feel like I am a barista in my very own home, and I personally think I make a great espresso every morning. Of course I have Nespresso to thank for part of it. I also love to brag to all my friends and make them cups whenever they are over! My only downside to my current Nespresso machine is that it only makes one shot of espresso per capsule. Now this is great for someone that can have one shot and be done. I unfortunately am a new mommy and need at least two shots or two cups of coffee every morning.  This is why I ended up at Sur la Table checking out this new Nespresso Vertuo Line.

So as I walked into the store they had this bad boy front and center! I was also greeted by a very friendly Nespresso representative that was able to tell me all about this new machine. So as I stood in front of this new machine I realized I was looking at a new concept. This machine definitely shines and looks very sleek. I think Nespresso makes great looking machine that actually work and can look stylish in any home.

Nespresso VertuoLine Capsules

The Rep started by telling me the difference in these new capsules. The first thing I notice was the style of the capsule, it was bigger, kind of like the old capsule gaining the freshman 15! The other difference is the barcode around the ring of the capsule. Now this barcode tells the machine what kind of capsule has been loaded into the machine, and what kind of espresso it’s going to make. I find this to be a very neat feature. So the machine works by first opening the top of the machine, then placing the capsule in the designated spot, then closing the top, then locking the top, and finally pressing a small button on top to start the brewing. Within a minute I was able to enjoy a nice full cup of espresso! I must say the crema that has always been presents in all Nespresso espresso’s was still there! This time in my particular pod I had about double the crema I usually would get! This made the aroma and espresso so much more enjoyable! I like to use my areoccino to add in a bit of milk and then I was very satistified!

Now the other difference I found with these pods is the price. It’s going to run you about .10 to .30 cents more per pod. It still makes your mouth-watering cup of Joe under 1.00. The only down side is you still have to order these capsules from Nespresso but when you order from them, they can control the shelf life and make sure you are getting the freshest pods delivered directly to you.

Added sugar and milk….all set to drink!

With everything I experienced with this new Vertuo Line I plan to invest in this new machine sometime in the near future. I still love my Nespresso U but the fact that I can make a bigger cup of espresso with a lot more crema makes the Vertuo Line worth investing into!

*These opinions were mine only and they are from what I personally experienced. Like I said I have been a Nespresso user for over a year. I was not paid or compensated by Nespresso or Sur la Table for this post.*
