COOKIES!!! I love love love sweets and these cookies are my favorite! Two months ago I ran across a website that was hosting The Great Food Blogger Cookie Swap. I was thrilled when I was picked to be a part of it this year!!

So I have to admit that I don’t have a great cookie recipe that would’ve been great to ship to to all my fellow bloggers. After thinking of creating a fun new recipe for this…. I thought I would dust off the old cookbooks and find a great recipe in one of them. As I was looking I ran across this Monster Cookie recipe in a old 1980’s Oregon Junior League Cookbook! I knew this was the perfect recipe once I saw it! It makes a *&^%$ ton of cookies which was perfect for me and this swap! I even had extra’s for friends and co workers and they all loved them!

All the Ingredients you will need!


weigh out the brown sugar to 1 lb.

1 lb of BUTTER!!


6 eggs

The sugars, eggs, and peanut butter is mixed!

use a spoon to scoop the dough to place on the baking sheet.

Monster Cookies
60 cookies
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 pound brown sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1lb pound butter
  • 1 jar of creamy peanut butter
  • 9 cups of oatmeal
  • ½ pound chocolate chips
  • ½ pound M&Ms
  • ¼ cup chopped pecans
  • {This recipe makes a SHIT ton of cookies!!}
  1. Pre heat oven to 350°
  2. In a large mixing bowl add in the eggs, sugars, extracts, butter, and peanut butter. Once all that sugar mixture is well blended begin to add the rest of the ingredients in the same bowl. Use a large spoon to scoop out the dough. You choose the size of the cookie you will want! Place them on a baking sheet and bake for 8-11 minutes. Let cool and Enjoy!
  3. *Use half the batch and freeze the other half for another sweet treat time!
