French Toast

Easy French Toast Recipe! You can also freeze and reheat this too!

Hello there! It’s been awhile since my last post and this year I hope to not leave you without recipes! Right now in my house French Toast is a popular item! My little girl is loving this breakfast treat! Now that I’m a mom, I am loving cooking her all of my favorite things I ate as a kid! Plus making these at home taste much better than the freezer isle at the grocery store. You can easily freeze these leftovers to have at another time!

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup Milk
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1-2 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 12 thick slices of bread, white or wheat

Directions

In a small mixing bowl, slowly whisk together the milk, salt, eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract and sugar until smooth. Transfer liquid into a medium bowl or baking pan to evenly dredge the bread pieces.

Preheat a skillet or frying pan over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon of butter to lightly coat the pan.

Dredge bread slices in mixture until saturated. Cook bread in skillet on each side until golden brown. Serve hot with maple syrup and butter.

Enjoy!

Saucy Says! By freezing leftovers you can have French toast whenever you want. To re-heat take out a couple slices and put in the microwave for 1-2 minutes.
