Beef Stew

Beef StewSince we’ve been having a long and cold winter nights I thought I would come back to my personal favorite recipes. Beef Stew is my go to meal in the winter and I love how day it is to make. I have made some revisions and updated this post! Thanks for taking a look at it again!

Here’s the recipe that lead me to Saucy Mouth! It’s the perfect meal to warm up your day!

  • 1 pound of ground beef or stew meat
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon of Saucy’s Seasoning
  • 3 medium Yukon gold potatoes, diced
  • 1 can of chicken broth, 14.5 ounces
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes, 14.5 ounces
  • 1 small bag of baby carrots, ½ pound
  • 1 cup frozen green beans
  • 1 cup onion chopped
  • 2 cups frozen corn
  • 1/4 cup butter

To start, turn your stove to a medium heat. In a large stockpot, combine meat, garlic, pepper, salt, and Saucy’s Seasoning. Cook until meat is browned.

While the meat and spices are browning, dice the potatoes. Make sure to clean the potatoes well.

Once the meat is brown add the rest of the ingredients to the pot. After you have added all the ingredients lower the heat let cook for 2 hours on low. Check on the stew every 30 minutes to give it a stir.

Once 2 hours have passed, take the beef stew off the burner and serve with some tasty bread! Enjoy!

* Slow Cooker*

If you want to use your slow cooker, make sure you brown your meat in a sauce pan with the garlic, pepper, salt, and Saucy’s Seasoning first. Let the meat cook completely until it is brown with no pink.

Add all of the ingredients to the slow cooker and let cook on high for 4-6 hours. You may want to add 1 cup of extra liquid to the slow cooker when adding all the ingredients. Remember no peaking when using the slow cooker! After 6 hours your beef stew should be ready! Serve up with some good bread and Enjoy!
